The NBA’s Board of Governors has approved new agreements for broadcasting rights, signalling a major shift in how the sport will be viewed over the next decade. Though financial details and company names remain undisclosed, Disney, Comcast, and Amazon are reported to be close to deals, potentially paying the NBA around $76 billion over 11 years. ESPN, NBC, and Amazon are expected to pay approximately $2.6 billion, $2.5 billion, and $1.8 billion annually, respectively.
Warner Bros. Discovery, currently broadcasting NBA games on TNT, may match Amazon's offer to remain a broadcaster.
The new agreements, starting in the 2025-26 season, will significantly increase the NBA’s broadcasting revenue, influenced by the growing importance of streaming services.
